What do you get when you combine charismatic bald men (sometimes with bonus fabulous facial hair), water balloons, and high-speed photography? Well, if you’re Los Angeles-based photographer Tim Tadder, you get an incredibly awesome photo series entitled Water Wigs.

“Water Wigs is a dynamic set of images using exploding shaped water balloons lit with a triad of colors, to create incredible splashes on the heads of bald men. The result is interesting and arresting “wigs” of water.“

“We used a laser and sound trigger to capture the right moments for each subject to create just the head of hair that fit best with the face.” explains Tim.“We chose to work with triads of colors to create images that are arresting and amusing at the same time.”
